Over 35 years of experience as a private equity investor and corporate executive, both investing in and managing companies focused on various sectors of the energy industry, which have included conventional and renewable power generation, midstream oil and gas, LNG, natural gas and power trading and origination. Michael is currently a partner of [Upstream Power], which has been formed to pursue opportunities to develop and invest in projects that reduce the electric and thermal costs for North American upstream and midstream operators. Previously, Michael was CEO of Quantum Utility Generation, a private equity backed portfolio company that pursued opportunities to own and operate fossil and renewable generation projects in North America and the Caribbean basin. Prior to joining QUG, Michael was a Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management and a partner and member of the senior management team of Highstar Capital, L.P. Prior to joining Highstar in 2001, he had a career in infrastructure management, finance, investments and project development at Enron North America from 1993 to 2001 and FPL Group (ESI Energy) from 1987 to 1993. Michael has served on the Board of Directors of several private companies focused on the power generation, waste management, waste-to-energy, midstream oil and gas and water utilities sectors as well as being a former director of Kinder Morgan, Inc. Michael received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He is a CFA charter holder.
More than 35 years of experience in the design, construction, and day-to-day operations of natural gas processing and treating facilities, gas storage facilities, pipelines, compressor stations and primary oil and gas production related facilities . Mr. Reed has completed gas processing and pipeline projects in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arkansas, Kansas, Wyoming and Nebraska, with additional operations responsibilities in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He has held engineering and operations positions with Phillips Petroleum, Texas Oil and Gas (Delhi Gas Pipeline), American Pipeline Company, KN Energy, Swift Energy Company, and Halcón Field Services.
Mr. Reed graduate of Texas Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and he is a Registered Engineer in Texas and Arkansas.
Over 35 years of oil, gas and power generation experience. Randy has worked for several outstanding companies in business development and senior management. Randy has gained valuable experience at Siemens, Stewart&Stevenson, Caterpillar, Acciona Energy, Tessera Solar and Toshiba International. Randy Etheridge has developed several Power projects over the years utilizing many types of generation sources: including reciprocating engines, gas and steam turbines, wind and solar, both CSP and PV, with battery storage. These experiences have led to Randy’s expertise in the field of Power Generation and Power Development.
An experienced upstream oil and gas engineer and asset manager. He has a wide and deep experience level handling nearly all facets of petroleum engineering, including drilling, completion, production, facilities, and reservoir engineering. Geographically, he has familiarity with a large portion of the United States and the Gulf of Mexico, and has dealt with a wide range of assets, from shallow heavy oil to deep high-pressure gas, including conventional and unconventional carbonate, sandstone, shale, and coalbed reservoirs. He has served as an executive VP of operations and manager of operations for 20 years, leading an asset team of 50+ engineers and business professionals. He led the team that established first commercial production in Idaho and also handled deep, high pressure and high H2S assets in other areas. He began his career, learning about the oil and gas business from his parents, who both worked for major oil and gas companies in the Permian Basin. Dale earned his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas. Dale enjoys spending time with his family and his 2 grandkids, and enjoys biking, shooting baskets, kayaking, gardening, and watching a good movie with his wife.
25 years of experience in the energy sector, including 15 years as an investor and operator of power, oil & gas and infrastructure assets, as well as 10 years in investment banking, financial advisory and trading. Prior to forming Midstream Power, Mark was EVP and CFO of Quantum Utility Generation (“QUG”) from 2016 to 2018, where he was responsible for all financial aspects of QUG’s business, including project financing, investment monitoring and exit and monetization strategies. Prior to that Mark was President & COO of Riley Exploration Group, LLC from 2012 to 2015, an independent oil & gas company based in Oklahoma City. From 2002 to 2012 Mark had a career in investment banking and private equity in New York City, focused on the power, midstream, infrastructure and renewable sectors, as a Managing Director at Pritchard Capital Partners, LLC, a boutique energy investment bank and as Partner at K Road Power, LLC and Principal at AIG Highstar Capital, LLC, both private equity firms. From 1992 – 2000 he worked for subsidiaries of Enron Corp., primarily Enron Capital & Trade and Azurix Corp., based in Houston. Mark started his career at Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. in London, U.K. in 1990. He has an LLB from the London School of Economics in London, U.K. and an MBA in Business from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has served on numerous boards, including Riley Exploration Group, LLC, Cinco Resources, Inc., InterGen N.V. and Northern Star Generation, LLC.
